Grand Paris Express – Extension of the RER line E to the west

TSO and EIFFAGE RAIL have just been awarded the 144€m rail systems contract to provide for the extension of the RER line E to the west TSO, in a consortium with EIFFAGE RAIL, TSO CATENAIRES and SAGES RAIL, has just been awarded the rail systems contract by SNCF Réseau to provide for the extension of the RER line E to the west between Haussmann St Lazare station and Nanterre station. The amount of the contract is 144 million euros.

TSO, in a consortium with EIFFAGE RAIL, TSO CATENAIRES and SAGES RAIL, has just been awarded the rail systems contract by SNCF Réseau to provide for the extension of the RER line E to the west between Haussmann St Lazare station and Nanterre station. The amount of the contract is 144 million euros.

The project includes the construction of 16km of concrete track in the tunnel and 12km of ballasted track in Nanterre. It will cross three new stations: Porte Maillot, La Défense and Nanterre.

The scope of work also includes the supply and installation of 73 switch and crossings, rigid and regular catenary and tunnel equipment including footbridges, dry columns, cable trays as well as lighted handrails and the inst temporary ventilation (air and dust) system.
The consortium will also be responsible for the civil engineering work for the rail signalling system, a walkway and cable unwinding as well as rail safety.

The projects, which includes a 5-month preparation phase, will begin in November 2019 and will be commissioned in December 2022.
This project, declared of public interest since 2013, aims to improve transport and connections between the east and west of the Ile-de-France, by offering a new quality of service.
