Maintenance works carried out on the French railways network cover all activities of heavy maintenance on plain lines, switches and crossings: ballast undercutting and cleaning, complete track renewal (rails and sleepers), rail welding, replacement of sleepers, neutralization of stresses in the rails, replacement of equipment components in switches and crossings, mechanical tamping, ballast profiling, special treatment of transition zones by ballast bonding. This maintenance can be made in conjunction with modernization works such as improvement of track lay-out, track realignment in view of traffic speed increase, lowering of longitudinal profile in view of electrification… These works are performed during traffic windows with relatively short line closures.

The company started extending its activity abroad in early seventies with important railway track rehabilitation in Iran with the aim of increasing the running speed up to 160 km/h. Since then, this activity carried on in a continuous way, giving the company the opportunity of acquiring a growing experience in projects management under various environments. The company is able to bring foreign Clients a wide range of technical and human abilities as well as suitable equipment means, which goes from technical assistance in order to supervise sites of track doubling (Saudi Arabia 1979 – 1983) to the management of complex projects such as the modernization of Metro Lines (Cairo 1986 – 1992).
